Small Groups
|
A programme based on Two Ways to Live: run in a small groups setting over several sessions, and presenting the message of Christianity in a way that is understandable for those who do not have a Christian background. For more information read an interview with one of the originators of the programme. Directions is for those who have been at Trinity for a while and would like to be more involved. During Directions, we explain our vision for our church and give details about the small groups and ministries that we have. For more detail about Directions, please contact our office by email or phone 8213 7300. The brochure (83K) for the weekend 25-27 February 2005 shows what is involved. There are many ways in which you can serve the Trinity community. Our home groups are a big part of our Trinity community. Our home group network stretches all over Adelaide and is continually growing. We also have a number of groups that meet
at our North Terrace site each week. Terrace
Studies is a Bible study for women. We
meet on Tuesday mornings during school terms for Bible study and
fellowship. We start at 9.45am for small group discussion and prayer,
then break for morning tea. Following that is a talk based on the
Bible. There is a crèche and childrens' program for
pre-schoolers. Thursday Encounter is a Bible study for
women. We meet at 10am on the second and fourth Thursdays of the school
terms normally in the CB Howard Hall. Thursday Meet is a group for men and women that meets on the first Thursday of every month, normally at 10:30AM in the CB Howard Hall. We have topical speakers and focus on mission and Christian ministry. The group incorporates the Trinity Mother's Union group. During the year we raise money for mission via various catering activities. Trinity's Women's Christian MENTORING is an intentional relationship of trust where Christian women seek to accompany less experienced women as they grow to maturity of relationship with God. Men's Ministry is a ministry for men. 50+ is a new group starting in 2006 aimed at members of the
Holy Trinity Church congregations in the over 50 age range. For more
information, contact the Office or Rev Sidney Green (sidneyg at
trinity.asn.au). Dates of events are given on the News and Events page. Thursday
Prayer is a group that meets each
Thursday morning from 7.45am – 8.30am to pray for our world and our
Trinity community. Support Group is a group for people with
long term illnesses or disabilities. We meet together on the first
Thursday of each month to encourage and pray for each other. |
